The holiday season is here but 2020 is going to be a holiday season like no other! With Covid 19 still with us, Christmas will have to take a different direction. No huge celebrations or get-togethers with friends. No office parties or New Years Eve extravaganzas. It’s going to be a far more sedate affair this year but what does that mean for our holiday season wardrobe? What are the best teen looks this year?
There’s been a lot of loungewear being worn over the last few months. Tracksuits, hoodies, T-Shirts. We’re all at home so why bother dressing up right? Even Zoom meetings or School lessons have seen a smart top worn over pyjamas. I mean who’s going to see?
We think it’s time to change all that. Don’t you miss dressing up a bit? Doing your hair. Putting on a bit of make-up and wearing something that makes you feel amazing? So, even though we’re likely to be home more than we’re out over the next few weeks, I think we should decide to inject a bit of glamour into the proceedings. It’ll make for some gorgeous Instagram posts or Tik Toks if nothing else…
We understand that comfort is still key. Especially after the 2020 we’ve all had, so our suggestions are chosen with both comfort and style firmly in mind and they can all be worn with a pair of trainers instead of heels and can be layered with a chunky cardigan or jacket if it gets a bit chilly.
And don’t forget the accessories. Layered necklaces and bracelets are all the rage this season and perhaps an ear cuff and some delicate rings. Layering is a key trend this season both in terms of accessories and clothing so take advantage of the cold weather and layer away!
Metallics are still a major style choice this season and never more so than at Christmas and New Year. Sequins always feature and we love a good sequin so why not? Prints are still here to stay going into 2021 too and of course there’s always the staple LBD or the “nice top and jeans” combo – you can’t go wrong with that…
