A Bat Mitzvah is the coming of age of a young Jewish girl, celebrated by some at 12 and some at 13. It is an important milestone and is often celebrated with a ceremony either in a Synagogue or other venue followed by big party.
12 and 13 year olds come in all shapes and sizes but the large majority of them don’t want to dress like little girls but at the same time, also don’t want to look too adult. It’s a tricky conundrum and the High Street doesn’t seem to really cater for this intermediate age when it comes to Bat Mitzvah dresses. At Silhouette we try to provide beautiful party outfits for all 12 and 13 year olds. Some simply don’t fit into an adult dress even in the smaller sizes. The girls generally wear trainers on their feet, sometimes blinged up, sometimes with ribbon as laces to match the dress, the perfect look for young girls -looking stunning and ready to party……
